Arma di Taggia
Just beyond San Remo lies the town of Taggia. When visiting Ceriana, we recommend staying in Arma di Taggia, the town's coastal region. Taggia, the chief town, is a medieval village built along the torrent Argentina at the end of the valley. It is well known for its variety of olives, as well as for Muscatel wine. Olive growing and the production of olive oil, greatly contributes to the local economy. This craft was first introduced by the Benedictine monks in the 7th and 8th century. Some of our Rustic Mills in Ceriana, like Ru56a, still holds its original milling wheel.
