Farmhouse Agriturismo Tenuta Volpe
The Azienda Agricola Tenuta Volpe stretches out around the medieval village of Monteleone (in the Comune of Roncofreddo, a Mountain Community in the Cesena Appenines) for 147 hectares, at 360 metres above sea level.
The farm has adopted methods of cultivation of low environmental impact for the olive groves, the fruit orchards, the vineyards and the wheat, which are in line with the Regione Emilia Romagna guide lines regarding integrated cultivation. A large part of the estate is crossed by the ‘Sentieristica degli Otto Castelli’ (Eight Castles Track) which is clearly indicated on and described in the maps specially prepared by the local town council of Roncofreddo for trekking and mountain bike lovers. Protected species like the fox, the hedgehog and the roe-buck as well as numerous wild boars live and breed in the woods on the estate.
On clear days the panorama at 360°, ranges from the Tosco-Romagnolo Appennines to the Marches Region and from the Repubblic of San Marino to the Adriatic Coast. It is the ideal departure point for excursions to nearby art-cities and villages of remarkable historic and artistic interest, and for the young desirous of taking part in the lively night life offered by the Riviera, but also of coming back at night to a peaceful oasis, in total harmony with its surroundings.
There are two forms of accommodation available on the Volpe Estate: the ANTICO CASALE and the TORRE DEL CASTELLO.
